"A disciple of Padma Bibhushan Dr. N. Rajam and scholar of Vishwa Shanti Sangeet Gurukul, Pune, Shyamal Chakrabortty brings two decades of devotion to the violin and to teaching. He holds an M.A. in Instrumental Music from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata, and is currently a Ph.D. Research Scholar at Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan."
